Testing
ASVAB-This military aptitude test is for all JUNIORS to take. If students are interested in pursuing a career in the military or enlisting in a branch of the military, they must take this exam. October is usually the ASVAB testing month for students at Van Buren R-1. The school counselor can make individual student appointments to meet with military recruiters on an individual basis.
ACT-Students may register at actstudent.org. If you cannot afford the test fee, ask your counselor about requesting a fee waiver.
EOC (End of Course) exams-Different exams are necessary for different grade levels. These exams are typically administered by the classroom teachers in early May. We are required to test several different subject areas. (Biology, English II, Algebra I and Government)
