JV boys take 2nd today in the BSC Conference Tournament. Good job to all of our student athletes today.
Girls with a big win today take third place in the BSC Conference Tournament. Ella Wilbanks 32 points pending verification she will be in the record books MSHSAA for most 3s in a game with 10.
BSC championship night girls playing for 3rd 1130 jv boys for first 230. Conference awards will follow the last game tonight. VB has several cponference championship awards. We hope those students will attend and accept those plaques.
After-school body conditioning today
Boys v Summersville tonight in the BSC tourney at 8:30, games are in Winona. The girls won last night and will play Ellington at 7 pm on Thursday in Winona. JV will play on Friday

As soon as the games are over in Thayer tonight, we will know who the Lady Dawgs will play and at what time, we will update everyone then.

Van Buren R -1 will be closed Thursday, January 20 due to black ice and extreme cold temperatures during morning bus routes.
Due to incoming freezing rain and snow during our PM bus routes the Van Buren R-1 School District will be dismissing early today, January 19th at 1:00pm. There will be no after school activities.
Our PA person does an outstanding job, apparently we misspoke and called the Redbirds Redwings last night. Apologies to EC, both groups played excellent in the 39th installment. Big thanks to Jeff Chapman for speaking and reminding us its about the kids and the entire county.
